Cowboy Action matches requires four guns, typically the guns of the ‘Old West’; two revolvers, a shotgun, and a rifle chambered in a centre fire revolver calibre. All Cowboy Action handguns must be “single-action”, meaning that the hammer must be manually cocked before each shot can be fired.
Our aim is to preserve, promote and respect the skills, traditions and the pioneering spirit and endeavour to dress the part, use the appropriate competition tools and respect the traditions of the Old West.
Join the ever growing number of folk across the globe that are part of a worldwide fraternity in pursuit of competitive achievement, learning and maintaining skills lost with the advent of modern technology. And above all the camaraderie and social interaction with likeminded folk having an interest in the Old West and pioneering days.
